Fitzwater Graveside services for Izora Ruth Fitzwater, age 95, of Bonham will be held at 10 a.m.Friday, September 30, 2005 in Brown Cemetery under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Rev. Lyn Holly will officiate. Mrs. Fitzwater passed away early Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at Fairview Nursing Home in Bonham. Mrs. Fitzwater was born November 28, 1909 in the Oakland Community of Fannin County, Texas, the daughter of John C. Snead and Bertha Tacker Snead. She attended the Oakland School. She married Earl S. Fitzwater, June 12, 1926 in Bonham, and he preceded her in death, Jan. 9, 1963. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Wilma Joyce Fitzwater and Ruth Earleen Moore and two brothers, Henry Snead and Irvin Snead. Mrs. Fitzwater had been a member of Boyd Baptist Church since 1963. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Surviving are two sons, Harold Fitzwater and Roger Fitzwater, both of Bonham; two daughters, Linda Harrell of Bonham and Jackie Lynn McGee and husband, Dave, of Durant, Okla; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday night.
