November 18, 2004 The Star Press Muncie, Indiana Richard E. Fitzwater 74, Indianapolis, passed away November 18, 2004. He was born January 27, 1930 in Indianapolis to the late Ottis T. and Paula N. Leigeber Fitzwater. Richard attended Purdue University and received a degree in watchmaking from Bradley University in 1952. He was employed by L. S. Ayres, Reis Nichols, Sipe Townsend, Marhdt and Rudy's as a jeweler and watchmaker for 45 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member, and Eucharistic Minister, at the Nativity Catholic Church, was an Eagle Scout & Scout Master and a member of many botanical organizations including American Hostas, Rhododendron, Holly & Magnolia Societies. Services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday November 20, 2004 at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St., with visitation Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Richard is survived by his wife Rosalie Fitzwater, sons Timothy, Richard and Michael Fitzwater; daughters Kathryn Curtis, Joan Fitzwater, Pamela Debelak, Susan Fitzwater and Traci Jones; brother Donald Fitzwater; 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
