December 8, 2004 Arizona Republic Phoenix, Arizona Gerald "Jerry" Levi Fitzwater, age 79, of Surprise, AZ., passed away December 3, 2004. He was a veteran of WWII, proudly serving his country in the Navy. Jerry loved golfing and enjoyed fishing. He was most content when his home was filled with the laughter and activity of his precious family and friends. He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Marion Fitzwater; their three daughters and husbands; Diane and Chris Travis, Karen and Mike McCullough, Sheri and Steve Nicholls; their six grandchildren, Shawn, Patrick, Tyler, Stephanie, Sara, and Samantha; his sister, Juanita McGarvey and many other loving family members and friends.
