    3. January 2, 2002 The Daily Item Sunbury, Pennsylvania Glenda Jean Tufts, 54, of 407 N. Third St., Mifflinburg entered into rest at 12:50 a.m.. Tuesday, Jan 1, 2002, at Kramm Heath Care Center, Milton, where she had been a guest for 23 months. She had lived in Mifflinburg since 1981 and before that had lived in Allenwood and South Williamsport. She was born April 22, 1947, in Elmira, Chemung County, N.Y., the daughter of the late Lewis James and Irma Elizabeth (Fitzwater) Campbell. On Dec. 16, 1967, in Crossingville, she was married by Monsignor Henry J. Schauerman to William Albert Tufts, a native of Erie, who survives. Mrs. Tufts was a 1965 graduate of South Williamsport High School. Due to ill health, she retired in 1992 as a clerk and manager of Widmann's Drug Store, Mifflinburg. Before working there, she was an office clerk at Brozman's, Williamsport, and was a payroll clerk at Cobbler's Inc., Williamsport. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are one son, Joseph William Tufts of Mifflinburg; one siser, Cindy Lou Straub of South Williamsport. She was preceded in death by a brother, David Lewis Campbell, who died in March 2001. Visitors may call after 7 p.m. Friday at the James L. Schwartz Home for Funerals, 247 Chestnut St., Mifflinburg, where a Christian wake service will be held at 8:15 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be clelebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. George's Church, 999 Buffalo Road, Mifflinburg, by the Rev. Patrick J. Shannon, O.S.F.S., serving as celebrant. Final commendation and farwell will be in the Hill Top Cemetery, Mifflinburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated and may be made in the memory of Glenda to the Huntington's Disease Society of America, 158 W. 29th St., Seventh Floor, New York, NY 10001-5300.
