January 8, 2002 News Gazette Danville, Illinois GEORGETOWN -- Herman Franklin Fitzwater, 70, of Georgetown died at 12:34 a.m. Monday (Jan. 7, 2002) at home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E. West, Georgetown. The Rev. James Shaw will officiate. Burial will be in Thomas Cemetery, Newport, Ind. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Fitzwater worked for General Motors as a core setter for more than 27 years before retiring in 1988. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War.
