Born on Jan. 20, 1932 on the Wade Farm in Boyds, he was the son of the late Herman M. Fitzwater and Nellie Cullers Fitzwater Marshall. Surviving are two sisters, Mary Fitzwater Virts and husband Arthur of Boyds and Loretta Fitzwater Jeffers of Monrovia; two brothers, Herman Fitzwater and wife Lucille of Hagerstown, and Armer Fitzwater and wife Pat of Mount Airy, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Fitzwater was preceded in death by two sisters, Ina Fitzwater Haines and Vada Fitzwater Stottlemyer. There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 25 at the Boyds Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 19901 White Ground Road, Boyds. Arrangements by Hilton Funeral Home, Barnesville.
