Fitzwater Mrs. Julia Isabel Loving Fitzwater, 93, a resident of the Bridgewater Retirement Home, died Friday morning, Sept. 13, 2002. A daughter of the late Houston and Alma Grace Drummond Loving, she was born Feb. 4, 1909, in Nelson County. Mrs. Fitzwater lived all her married life in the Harrisonburg area and was the co-owner of Five and Dime Café for over 30 years. She was a member of First Church of the Brethren in Harrisonburg. On Jan. 16, 1927, she married Frank W. Fitzwater Sr., who preceded her in death. Surviving are one sister, Emma Snodgrass of Harrisonburg; a half sister and a half brother, Elizabeth Wright and Charles Loving, both of Madison Heights; two grandchildren, Frank W. (Billy) Fitzwater III and Julie Kramer, both of Harrisonburg; and two great-grandchildren, Nicci Kramer and Cassidy Kramer. She was preceded in death by a son, Frank W. (Billy) Fitzwater Jr. and a daughter-in-law, Ruth C. Fitzwater. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, at 11 a.m. at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 7 to 8 at the funeral home.
