23 Sep 2004 The Advocate Newark, Ohio B. Imogene "Boots" Oyer, 80, of Blain Highway, died unexpectedly at 5:38 p.m. Monday, September 20, 2004, in Adena Regional Medical Center. She was born June 6, 1924, to the late Arthur and Mabel Mowery Fitzwater. On November 27, 1954, she married Lee Oyer, who died October 17, 1983. Surviving are a son, Chris (Sharon) Oyer, with whom she lived; a stepdaughter, Lois Ann (Richard) Winkler, of Clearwater, FL; a stepson, Charles Lee Jr. (Peggy) Oyer, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Jay (Michelle) Gleich and Vickie (Dale) Hansen, both of Chillicothe, Justin Oyer, of Portsmouth, and Derek and Allison Oyer, both at home; several great-grandchildren, stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley (Gerald) Healea, of Norfork, AR; several nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Diana Ramsey and Sherry Fird, and special friends, Connie Long and Loretta Eldridge. She was predeceased by a son, Gerald Gleich. Imogene was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and retired from Adena Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, September 23, 2004, in Ware Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Little Mound Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Ware's.
