May 13, 2004 Pine Bluff Commercial Pine Bluff, Arkansas MONTICELLO -- Bessie LaFran Scott Fitzwater, 82, of Monticello, died Tuesday at Gardner Nursing Home. She was born Aug. 6, 1921, at Monticello, a daughter of the late T.R. Scott and Bessie Adcock Scott. She was a retired jewelry store owner. She was a member of First United Methodist Church at Monticello and the Music Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Liggett Clifton Fitzwater Sr. Survivors include two sons, Cliff Fitzwater of Memphis and Scott Fitzwater of Pine Bluff; one brother, Robie Scott of Monticello;six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Stephenson-Dearman. Funeral Home of Monticello with the Rev. Ed Wyers officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery at Monticello. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
