All, I have talked with Katheryn Devine, and she plans to be done editing the final pages by the end of the month. When I asked her what prices she was able to find for printing, she said that it looks as though the book will sell for $60 for the leather bound. She is also planning to offer just the book unbound for you to put in your own 3 ring binder. I expect this to go for about $40, but not real firm on price just yet. So, if there are any others out there who are considering buying the book, let me know so that I can let Katheryn know and get the mailing labels done for her as well. If you are interested, please send to me: Your name, address and email address. Thanks! Almost all Fitzwaters in the USA are related to each other in some fashion, it just depends on how close! Almost all of us can eventually trace back to the original Thomas Fitzwater, who came to the American Colonies with William Penn in 1682 on the ship "Welcome." I think I found your grandfather (Daniel A. Fitzwater) listed in Kathreryn Fitzwater Devine's book, "Fitzwater Families in America." This is a privately published book, last published in 1992 but currently in the process of being updated. It is very well researched and very through, a 3 volume velo-bound book. At page 485, he is listed as Daniel A. Fitzwater, b. 30 Sept. 1896 in Summers Co., WV., died Feb. 1983, in Alderson, Greenbrier Co., WV. He married Hilda Lewis on 31 Oct. 1946 in Nicholas Co., WV. No further information on his first wife or any of his descendants is listed. Tressie Mae is not mentioned. Daniel A. Fitzwater is listed as being the son of Alexander Fitzwater (b. 1855, d. aft 1910) and Alexander's second wife, Mary Effa Stull, whom he married 5 Dec. 1889 in Nicolas Co., WV. Alexander and Mary Effa are listed as having 10 children. No further information is given on any of the children's descendants. I am sure Mrs. Devine would like you to update her records. The last mailing address I have for her is: 3812 Pine Street Irvine, CA 92714 I believe she may have moved recently. Leslie Lawson, who frequently posts on this board, may have a may current address for her. (LESLIE: If you -- or anyone else -- has a different address for Mrs. Devine, would you please post it?) I hope this information has been helpful, even if there was no information on Tressie.
