    3. All, I have been in contact with a person who has rescued several Fitzwater baby photos from an antique shop. Both were post marked to: Holly Grove, [Kanawha Co.], West Virginia. Here is her message: I "rescued" a photograph of a baby in a rocker from a local antique shop this afternoon. Written on the back of the photograph - "Mr. James Clark Fitzwater, Holly Grove, WV" In addition to this postcard type of photograph, there was another picture of a baby in a baby carriage. Written on the back of this postcard photo (addressed to Mrs. Metta Fitzwater, Holly Grove, WV. - "See my little girl. Everything is all ok, Will write soon." signed Mrs. L. M. The postmark on the second photo is Burnsville, West Virginia. The postmark is indistinct because it overlaps on the deckle edge of the stamp. It appears to have been mailed June 1, 1911 or 1914. My goal is to return these pictures to a descendant or someone who knows who they are and has an interest in them. Thanks! Linda So, if you have any idea of the current living descendants or James, or just exactly who "Metta" might have been, please let me know! Let's see if we can get these priceless photos back in the family. Thanks for your help! Leslie Lawson Fitzwater List Admin. Fitzwater One Name Study
