Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/GdW.2ACIB/207 Message Board Post: Hi Y'all - I've been looking for years for the family of MARTHA ANN FITZWATER. Based on her tombstone in GILMER Co WV, her dates of birth & death are March 22, 1839 - September 28, 1915. On January 1, 1861, Martha Ann married John W. Wright in BARBOUR Co. VA. After this union, I can follow them perfectly through to their dimise. I have, however, read through every 1850 & 1860 FITZWATER census in the state of Virginia & cannot find Martha Ann. There is a child named Hannah Cruikshanks in one of the households that would be the 'right' age (age 11 in 1850), but I don't want to use too much imagination. Can anyone help me out there?? Thanks in advance- Kristy in VA

    3. All, I just received a note from Katheryn Fitzwater Devine regarding the shipping of the book. She expects it from the printer about August 15. After arrival at her home, she will begin boxing it up to ship out to you! :-) So, would expect, if Katheryn moves along steady, but slow, she should have it to you within a month of that date. She needs to remember her health isn't the best, and not to push it! So, that is the update on the Fitzwater book. Leslie Lawson Fitzwater List Admin.

I've been trying to identify some very old pictures that belonged to two of my great-grandmothers on my father's side. There are a couple of pictures that do have the name Fitzwater. One is of Mrs. H.R. Fitzwater and the other is of a Jean and Bessie Fitzwater. I'm wondering if Jean and Bessie might be the daughteers of Mrs. H.R. Would you have any idea of knowledge of these names. Any help you could provide would be appreciated. Thanks. Nancy
