An informal service will be held 8 to 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, at Ginger Brown's Restaurant, in Fort Worth. Dale Fitzwater was the owner of a plumbing business. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1951. He was a longtime member of the Eagles Club and enjoyed outdoor activities. Dale was a gentle spiritual man who graciously welcomed people and truly appreciated the important things in life. Mrs. Fitzwater was born Jan. 14, 1903, in Petersburg, W.Va., and was the daughter of the late Adam and Rose Whetzel Kuykendall. She was a homemaker. She married Daniel E. Fitzwater, who preceded her in death in 1982. Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. Pastor Harold Garber will conduct the funeral 1 p.m. today at the McKee Funeral Home Chapel in Baker, W.Va. Burial will be in the Asburg Cemetery in Baker, W.Va. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Include James, Joe, samuel, Sarah Jane, charles, Martin, Amanda. I am trying to track down Joanna, who remains in MO but remarries and I am unable to find the name of her later husband. Born Aug. 27, 1950, David was a longtime resident of Delaware City, Del. He moved to Keller in November 2002 to spend his remaining time with family. David graduated from Gunning Bedford High School, class of 1969. After graduation he started working in construction and joined the Laborer's International Union in 1978. He worked for Corrado American Company from June 1981 to December 2001. Dave enjoyed fishing, music from the 50s and 60s and his favorite hobby was pool. He was a member of the American Pool Association and played in tournments as part of the Busch Pool League, representing Bosco's Tavern. After moving to Texas he joined the Grapevine Opry Association, enjoying many of the shows at the Palace Theatre, produced by Rocky Gribble, Yellow Rose Productions. His favorite was the 50s show. His wit and humor will be missed by his family and friends. Survivors: Sister, Sharon M. Hagen and husband, Rodney of Keller; niece, Regina M. May 12, 2004 The Inter-Mountain Elkins, West Virginia *John Fitzwater* John Edward Fitzwater, 58, departed this life at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 9, 2004, at his residence at state Route 92 in Belington. Death was sudden and unexpected He was born May 26, 1945, in Belington, the son of the late William "Bill" and Lula Pearl Kittle Fitzwater. On June 14, 1970, at Philippi, he was united in marriage to the former Carla Kay Nestor who survives at their home in Belington. Mr. Fitzwater is also survived by one son, John Todd Fitzwater and wife, Char, of Kasson; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carl and Imogene Nestor of Philippi; two sisters, Mary E. Carper and husband, Gary, and Carolyn Sue Wolfe and husband, Dorsey, all of Belington; and one granddaughter, Sidney Louise Fitzwater. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother, David E. Fitzwater. Mr. Fitzwater attended the schools of Barbour County, was a Vietnam-era veteran serving in the United States Marines from 1966 to 1968, a member of the Belington Masonic Lodge 125 AF&AM, a member of the Tygart Valley Royal Arch Masons 39, Tygart Valley Post 3647 VFW in Elkins, and American Legion Post 29 in Belington. He had worked as a heavy equipment operator most of his adult life and was a Protestant by faith. Friends will be received from the Talbott Funeral Home in Belington from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and on Thursday until 2 p.m., the funeral hour, when funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home parlor with the Rev. Kenny Kendall officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Creek Cemetery near Belington where the Belington Masonic Lodge will conduct ritualistic graveside services. The Talbott Funeral Home in Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. John Edward Fitzwater.
January 2001 The Wilson County News Floresville, Texas Floyd Elmer Fitzwater, 67, of Bremerton died Jan. 16, 2001, at Harrison Hospital. He was born in Bremerton on Jan. 21, 1933, to Don and Ida (Asseltine) Fitzwater. He was a 1952 graduate of Central Kitsap High School. Mr. Fitzwater served in the Navy from 1952 to 1956, achieving the rank of E-5 and earning the National Defense Service Medal and the United Nations Medal. He later was a household mover for Bekins and a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy Ward of Snohomish and Mary Turner of Bremerton; three brothers, Harold of Shelton, Louis of Illahee and Lawrence of Seabeck. At his request, no service will be held. Family and friends are invited to share memories of Floyd from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the home of Mary Turner. He was born in Taylor County on April 28, 1940, a son of the late Bertsel Brooks and Elizabeth Adeline Sloan Fitzwater. Mr. Fitzwater was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1959 to 1961. He was employed by the Grafton Housing Authority, where he had worked in the Maintenance Department for 15 years. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patsey Plum Fitzwater, whom he married on April 25, 1959. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Joseph Barnes of Grafton; two grandchildren, Jatanna Brittany Bolyard and JoHanna Kaye Barnes; and one sister and brother-in-law, Mary "Tippy" and Bill McProuty of Grafton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Albert Lee Fitzwater. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at the Bartlett Funeral Home, Grafton, with the Rev. David Knotts officiating. Eva Lowry was born in Dadeville, AL in Jan 1880. She had 1 son, my father in 1898 when she wasn't married. She married a Fitzwater a few years later and had 3 more children. Artis Fitzwater 1902, Edwin Lawrence Fitzwater, 1905 and Ethel Fitzwater, 1906 all born in Tullahoma, TN. I don't have her husband's name just that he was a Fitzwater.
