I've "rescued" an old photograph of C. WEISE and his bride that was taken at the Blakemore Studio in Minneapolis, MN in the early 1900's. The couple appears to be in their 20's at the time the photograph was taken. Notes on the photograph indicate that the groom is a "First Cousin of R. H. F." and that "Vernorma FITZGERALD is the Mother of R. H. F. who is Charlie's cousin". Also noted on the back is this message "Grandma Vernorma FITZGERALD was a COREY girl, she had 2 brothers, Geo and Clarence and a sister Helen who married a WEISE, and this is their son and wife." I believe that this may be Helen COREY who married Selden WEESE. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding the couple: Cornelius Orlo WEESE was b. 18 Oct 1873 in Minnesota to parents Selden WEESE (b. 1 Sept 1847 in Upper Canada-d. 3 Mar 1914 in Stevens, WA - the son of Cornelius WEESE and Angeline VANSLAEK) and Helen G. COREY (b. 24 Feb 1849 in Vermont-d. 16 Feb 1927 in Chewelah, WA - dau of James Monroe COREY and Hannah Maria Theresa CROWN). Cornelius was one of 6 children born to this couple including, Albert Alonzo; Lydia "Liddy" M.; Leslie James; Cornelius Orlo; Homer; and Mertice or Matrice or Mertis "Myrta" Marie WEESE, all born between 1869 and 1891. Cornelius married Elizabeth "Lizzie" E. ZUEHLSDORFF (1880-1960) and together they had three children including, Albert Cornelius WEESE (1901-1980); Edna Elsa WEESE (1903-1986); and Lucille "Lucy" Alberta WEESE (b. 1904). Cornelius died 3 Mar 1960 in Hennepin County, MN and is buried at the Hillside Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN. Venorma "Norma" O. COREY was b. 4 Sept 1846 in Winooski, Vermont to parents James Monroe COREY and Hannah Maria "Theresa" CROWN. Venorma and Helen G. were the two oldest children born to this couple, a total of 10 children including Venorma; Helen G.; Melissa L.; Alonzo B.; Clarence H.; Allon or Allen Foster; Florence N.; and George Edwin COREY, all born between 1846 and 1864. Venorma married Edward FITZGERALD Sr. (1845-1900) and together they had 9 children including, Susan "Susie" J.; Edmund James; Eugene Emerson; Viola T.; Rufus H.; Rutherford Hayes; Lillian E.; Alfred Leon; and Halceon FITZGERALD all born between 1869 and 1889. Venorma died 24 Jan 1929 in Placerville, CA. I am hoping to locate someone from this family so that the photograph can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
