My Dad, John Walter Fitzgerald ("Jack") was born on 5-16-1926 to my grandparents, Joseph Fitzgerald and Margaret Mary Doyle in Newark, NJ. My Dad's brother, My Uncle, Joseph W. Fitzgerald was born on 7-13-1920 to Joseph Fitzgerald and Margaret Mary Doyle - also in Newark, NJ. My grandparents were divorced, so I never actually knew my Fitzgerald side of the family. I was shocked to learn that my grandfather had 9 brothers and sisters - a huge family. My Dad and Uncle were raised by my grandmother's parents - John and Maggie Doyle on 6th Street in Newark.
