My GrGrGrandfather, Lawrence was born in 1882 in Small Point, Nfld. His father was Thomas b. abt. 1852 & one of GrGrGrGrandfather's brothers was Bernard b. abt. 1854. Besides Thomas & Bernard there were at least 8 more siblings all born between 1850 - 1875. Not sure if this helps but please let me know. Regards :) p.s.
