I live in Tralee and Catherine Fitzgerald daughter of John Fitzgerald was my grandmother. I have in my possession a complete Fitzgerald family Tralee which was given to an aunt of mine apparently by a Brother Fitzgerald of St kevins college Oamaru, who was a cousin back in 1975 when on holiday from New Zealand. It outlines all the Fitzgerald families and their children grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. It states that John Fitzgerald who married Catherine Slattery of Oakpark first went to NZ in 1868 where he was joined by David in 1870 and Nicholas and William in in 1874. He saw David married in Jan 1875, Nicholas engaged and William also provided for before returning to Tralee to wed himself.
