I have been trying to find more information about Amanda and Delia Bowen ( Fitzgerald) for years. Mostly why are Amanda and her mother listed as black on all the census.? I have a picture of Amanda on my tree I see no evidence of that being true. I have not found any record or family member who can tell me why. I just "met" someone who is a great granddaughter of Francis. I am a great grand daughter of Joe. We would both love to hear from you so we can compare information and see what is true and what is not. And if Amanda was black why do I not look like Holly Berry. I could be happy with that.
