Fitzgerald dies Wednesday, May 16, 2012. She was a longtime resident of Austin, served as the first Executive Secretary of the downtown Austin rotary Club. She was born February 26, 1911. Dorothy traveled both nationally and internationally with the Rotary Club and in her retirement. She will be missed by her many friends at Parsons House in Austin. At the time of her death, she was the longest tenured resident of that facility. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Jackson Fitzgerald in 1950 of the Untied States Corp of Engineers. She is survived by her son, Larry and daughter-in-law, Marianne Cook Fitzgerald, grandson Kevin Lane and his spouse Lorraine Fitzgerald. Service will be held at a later date.
