She married an English immigrant named Joseph Forshaw, from Scarisbrick, Lancashire, and they lived in St. Louis until their deaths. Census records tell me that Margaret's parents were both born in Ireland, and given the timing I'm guessing they fled the Famine, but I don't know for sure. I am hoping to find names for her parents or her brothers - family legend says she had brothers who fought in the Civil War and placed Margaret, their much younger sister, in a convent school for the duration of the conflict.
