Aloha! According to various bits of info sent to me at one time, Robert Woodson Fitzgerald b 1782, died July 7, 1886, married nov 23, 1812 to Mary (Polly) Carr. Mary was born 1795, died March 1830. Her parents John Carr and Christian Phillips. Children: Spotswood, Matilda, Jetzel, Mary, Parksley, John Sexton, Moses, James, Reuben. Woodson Robert Fitzgerald, born Oct 31, 1807 in Amherst, died June 7, 1886 married Francis (Fanny) Mandy Coffey mar 23, 1830, Nelson County. Fanny born 1811 died Nov 27 1886. Woodson's parents were John (Jackie) Clarkson Fitz and Nancy Elizabeth Carr. Robert Woodson Fitz is the husband of the aunt of Woodson Robert Fitz. Mary (Polly) Carr's sister Nancy Elizabeth Carr, married Woodson Robert's father, John (Jackie) Clarkson Fitzgerald. Milton Hitt Fitzgerald (born approx. January 20, 1876 in Nelson County, Virginia), was known throughout his life as Thomas Fitzgerald, apparently lying about his name after coming West to Colorado to work on the railroads. It was finally determined that Milton's mother was Ellen Douglas Fitzgerald (born April 25, 1851 in Nelson County, Virginia) and his father was George Rodney Hite (born December 22, 1827 in Virginia) George and Ellen never married - he apparently had six children with Ellen, a daughter with Louvenia (Venie) Bradley, and was married to Rachel McCabe. Ellen was a daughter of William Davidson Fitzgerald (born 1811 in Nelson County, Virginia) and his first cousin, Sarah Ann Clarkson Fitzgerald born August 28, 1816 in Nelson County, Virginia). William's parents were James C. Fitzgerald (born 1788 in Albermarle County, Virginia) and Susan Nales (born 1793 in Nelson County, Virginia). Sarah's parents were John (Jackie) Clarkson Fitzgerald (born July 7, 1782 in Amherst County, Virginia) and Nancy E. Carr (born February 15, 1785 in Amherst County, Virginia). Both James C. and John Fitzgerald were sons of Bartlett Hawkins Fitzgerald (born 1759 in Amherst County, Virginia near the Tye River) and his wife, Mary Maskey Coleman (born 1765 in Virginia). Wade Reeves and Alice Washington Fitzgerald married May 27,1892 They both had the last name.May have been kin. Wade is traced back to Robert Woodson Fitzgerald born 1782 and Alice to James C. Fitzgerald born 1788. Wade's parents were James R. Fitzgerald and Catherine Monroe. Jame's parents were Zephaniah F. and Polly Coffey. Zephaniah's parents were a James Fitzgerald and Elizabeth Ann Fitzgerald. Back to Alice W. Fitzgerald. Alice's parents were Achilles W. Fitzgerald and Mary Fitzgerald. (Achilles is buried at Crabtree Falls in Nelson Co. VA.) The Parents of Achilles are Zephaniah F. and Polly Coffey....I think. Mary Fitzgerald's parents were John(jackie) C. Fitzgerald and Nancy Carr. John C. Fitzgerald's parents were Bartlett H. F. and Maskie Coleman. Bartlett's dad was possibly Joseph Fitzgerald.
