Several Fitzgerald families from Ireland were in Sullivan County, New York, as early as 1860. I am interested in John and Catherine Fitzgerald. John was probably born in Ireland about 1835-1840. He and Catherine were living in Thompson (Monticello), Sullivan County, New York, in 1880. Their children, all born in New York, included John (b. abt. 1864), Ann (b. abt. 1867), Sarah (b. abt. 1871) and James (b. abt. 1876). This family was still in Monticello for the 1900 Census. I would greatly appreciate hearing from anyone having information on this family. Tom
