Diane, I understand from a family member that my great great grandfather James Fitzgerald (born in 1820) supposedly came to the US with his brother William and his brother Thomas. The family member claims that it has always been said that Thomas was an ancester of John Francis "Honey Fitz" Fitzgerald. They arrived in Boston, but Thomas is the only brother that stayed in that area. My gggrandfather went to Pennsylvania. I have not been able to find any proof at all that this is the case, but I do know that the three brothers, Thomas, James and William all arrived in Boston together. I am trying to determine if this information is correct, and ultimately find out my g g grandfather James' Irish roots. I've run into a dead end. I don't know the date of their arrival or the ship name, but I would guess around 1840, give or take a few years. Since you mention two brothers, William and Thomas and a Honeyfitz connection, perhaps we're talking about the same family. Any info. you have would be appreciated. Thanks. Cindy
