    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: FitzGerald, Johnson Classification: Queries Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/1cW.2ACIB/1090 Message Board Post: Martha Alice and Henry W. were siblings. Henry W. was born 22 Sept 1822, County Cork; Marthe Alice was born about 1834. They had a brother, probably William, born about 1824, who moved to Canada. Henry followed his brother to Canada and migrated to Tenneesse. Along the way he met and married Sarah W. Bill, born in Oct of 1831 and married about 1850. Martha Alice married a Sgt. John William Ruddick, who was killed in the charge of the Light Brigade in 1854, soon after their only son was born. My only clues to the idenity of the parents of Henry, William?, and Martha Alice are in the names of their children. William John Ruddick, named his oldest daughters Alice Fitzgerald, Ella Fitzgerald, and Martha Fitzgerald; he named his oldest son, John Fitzgerald. Henry named his oldest daughters, Alice Maria, Emma Burnham, and Rose; he named his oldest son Henry Beaumont. The youngest daughter was named her mother and paternal grandmother: Sarah Davis FitzGerald. According to family tra! dition the Davis could have the Welsh spelling, Davies. Henry W. appears to have been the oldest son and his father may have been William Henry FitzGerald. If Henry W. had a sister other than Martha Alice, she may have married a Henry Johnson, or a John Johnson. One child of Henry W. died on a visit to Selma, AL, and was buried in the John Johnson family plot. I would appreciate any input you have, or any suggestions. Eddie Ruddick
