    1. John, James, Elizabeth Fitzgerald Co Mayo to Amesbury MA
    2. Sarah S. Fitzgerald
    3. I am looking for the parish in Co Mayo that James, John and Elizabeth Fitzgerald came from. James came into New York 3 July 1867 on the ship S S Erin and went to Amesbury-Salisbury MA. Jame accoring to his Naturalization was born in 1846 in Co Mayo. James died 1879 in Amesbury MA John came into Boston 10 July 1869 on the ship Tarifa of Glascoe. He was born in 1850 in Co Mayo. John died in 1893 in Amesbury MA. The two brothers filed their intent for naturalization in 1874 in the court in Newburyport MA. They were living in the same household in the 1870 census in Salisbury. They married sisters, John m. Winnifred Cullinane and Jame m. Julia Cullinane. Elizabeth is unknow to me except she is listed on the same tombstone as John and some of his family at St. Joseph's Cem in Amesbury MA. The listing says Elizabeth Monihan 1848 - 1896. I can only assume that she was a sister as her age is between the two boys. I have no idea if she came as a widow or was single. John and James list their parents in various documents as John Fitzgerald and Marie. One document calls the mother Marie Timothy. John had several children that survived and James has several children but only one survived. I have checked the records at St. Joseph's in Amesbury and at the archives in Boston but I still have not found a parish that they came from. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Sarah Fitzgerald [email protected]

    3. Posted on: FITZGERALD Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/surnames/f/i/FITZGERALD/queries/157 Surname: FITZGERALD, MCINERNEY, MULVIHILL ------------------------- My G-Grandfather Michael FITZGERALD was born in 1852 or 1853 (US Census and Death Cert. differ) in the Kilkee area of Co. Clare, Ireland, and emigrated in 1872 to the U.S. He lived first in Elmira, NY and Southport, NY, then from approx 1886 until death in 1932 in Snedekerville, Columbia Twp., Bradford Co., PA, just below the NY border. Wife, Honora McINERNEY, b. 1857 in Kilkee or Kilrush area of Co. Clare, also emigrated in 1872. They most likely married in Elmira, NY area in 1877-78, but I haven't searched for the details on that. Honora's brother Michael McINERNEY also emigrated from Co. Clare to the US in 1872. His wife was Mary FITZGERALD, presumably related to the Fitzgeralds from Kilkee/Kilrush. Michael FITZGERALD's brother James FITZGERALD, b. 1862 in Co. Clare, emigrated to Elmira, NY in 1886. His wife was probably Catherine, b. January 1865 in Ireland, and married about 1888. Michael FITZGERALD's brother Thomas T. FITZGERALD, b. March 1865 in Co. Clare, emigrated to Elmira in 1882. He married Mary, born in May 1870 in Ireland, in Elmira in about 1888. Thomas died of a heart attack while on a visit to Kilkee, Co. Clare in August 1904 and was buried there. Michael, Thomas, and James FITZGERALD's parents were Patrick FITZGERALD and Johanna MULVIHILL. I am not sure of the correct spelling for Johanna - the surname was mispelled on Michael's death certificate, and the given name may be corrupted too. These men all worked in railway car shops or rail track maintenance in the US. I would appreciate any information about these folks and relations. Also I would like to connect with others researching FITZGERALDs and MCINERNEYs and MULVIHILLs from the Kilkee/Kilrush area. Cheers, Anne Green, Columbia, MD

I am interested in all Fitzgeralds in middle and upper Montgomery County. I believe they were all connected to Thomas Fitzgerald, a baker in Skippack in the late 1700's. I have lots of info but can't connect your Fitzgeralds with any in my database. I have a web page with my direct line at http://ballylarkin.tripod.com/fitzwebpage/ but I, also, have other lines. My Fitzgeralds mostly all married Germans, many German Mennonites and it seems that yours followed the same path. Write to me and we can compare notes. Sharon [email protected]

My name is pronounced as though it was spelled I-own. I'm a gal. Who is Angie Henderson? I want her to e-mail me. Linda and I are going to Ireland next month so if you have pedigree charts, or other documents that show our con nection they may be of help in our research. Do you know Liz Davenport of St. Louis? We have done quite a lot of record sharing trying to connect Honora Duggan, or Catherine Duggan to our Fitzgerald family. The groom was William Fitzgerald but we cant find out anything with the right dates of birth or any other connection to a William. I do have information of Michael Hanley offering a reward for info on the where-a-bouts of James Fitzgerald. This took place in 1860. Mr. Michale Hanley gives his address as: first toll gate on the Olive street Plank Road, St. Louis Mo. I have similar info in searches in 1868 and 1863 for James Fitzgerald and Thomas Mulligan. The coincidence here is that the mulligans lived next door to James Fitzgerald in Rockville Ct. and one of James' sons, also named James married Anna Mulligan a sister to Thomas Mulligan. If I have anything I can send you, please let me know. One of these days we will fill in all the blanks. For now, Ione Fitzgerald Harrel

    3. I am looking for leads on John Fitzgerald and Maggie Murphy. I believe that they may have been my original immigrants on this line. If my information is correct, they had a son named Jim Fitzgerald who was born in Augusta County, Virginia. He later married Laura Price Cole in Wythe County, Virginia. Jim's youngest daughter was born in 1895. So this probably places the couple about whom I am inquiring as immigrating mid 1800's. Anybody out there doing research on this couple? Marsha in WV
