    3. In response to Karen's query - My great grandfather, Thomas Fitzgerald, had a brother William bpt. Sep 1815 Burncourt, Civil Parish of Shanrahan, Barony of Iffa & Offa West, Co. Tipperary. Parents: Maurice & Ellen (Keating) Fitzgerald. There were and still are Kennedys in that area. We think William came to the U.S. as there was a person of that name who sponsored our Thomas in the Citizenship process in Utica, Oneida County, New York, 14 March 1859. 1. My FITZGERALD Line from Philly from ANTIGUA?
    2. Vincent E. Summers
    3. Yes, it appears I have found my FITZGERALD line, finally. It appears to go from a John Austin Fitzgerald of Shorten House, Dorset, England Born abt. 1711 to 1713 to Antigua, the Caribbean He married Henrietta MARTIN (of the very famous MARTINs). They had a Jr. and a couple of other children. John Austin Fitzgerald Jr seems to have come (at least eventually) to Philadelphia and married a Mary KILLINGER. From there on down to modern times is known. Vince Summers

Posted on: FITZGERALD Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/surnames/f/i/FITZGERALD/queries/10172 Surname: Cox, Hannon ------------------------- I understand from a family member that my great great grandfather James Fitzgerald (born in 1820) supposedly came to the US with his brother William and his brother Thomas, the father of John Francis "Honey Fitz" Fitzgerald. They arrived in Boston, but Thomas is the only brother that stayed in that area. Does anyone have any information about Thomas' arrival in the US from Ireland? I am trying to determine if this information is correct, and ultimately find out my g g grandfather James' Irish roots. I've run into a dead end with James, but perhaps someone will be able to verify if my information is correct about the James, Thomas, William connection. Since his son, etc., became prominent, there may be more information on him. Thanks.
