My great-grandmother was Ellen Marie Fitzgerald. She arrived in Boston sometime around1850. I don't know if she is a relation. All I know is that she married Patrick Fitzgibbons and had a daughter, Ellen Fitzgibbons, born 1880 in Marlborough, MA. Hope this helps. Cindy

Dear List, I am searching for the name of a book on the Fitzgeralds and the Butlers. It is one of the most complete books on the early history of both families. It was the first book I bought on genealogy back in the 1960's. Need it to allow a fellow researcher what would be a treasure for them to have, as she has made a connection with the Butler family in the 1500's. Of course, the reason the book was written with the history of both families is that they intermarried so many times in the period of 1200 - 1600 that they were practically the same family. I am looking for Esther Fitzgerald who married Dennis Callaghan. She was born either in the USA or Cork, Ireland, but they both emigrated to |Massachussetts. She was born about 1838 and they had a lot of children.

Saw your Fitzgerald listing and I'm also searching for sibling of William b. 1827-32 and Michael born 1830-34 in Ireland. Family stories state they were probably from Co. Cork. I have been unable to find much else about them. From death certificates, it states the parents of William were William and Alice (Nolan) Fitzgerald and on Michaels it states parents were T. and J. Fitzgerald. In their obituaries it states they were brothers.They emigrated to the US, William in 1857 and Michael in 1865, settling in Wi. . William married Elizabeth Beard in 1865 and Michael never married. Could there be any possible connection? Thanks Carol

Need some help tracing down my grandmother's marriage to James Elmer Lane. Think it was in Joplin, MO, in 1915. Her name was Effie Pearl Fitzgerald.
