I've "rescued" an old photograph of one of the children of Mrs. R. S. FITZGEREL which was taken at the Mattern Studio in Frankfort, KY. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890's or early 1900's with the infant in the photograph about 1 year old. Mrs. FITZGEREL'S homestead is noted as being the house east of the School House. Someone has also written "God Bless you Sister" on the front of the photograph. I don't know if this means the baby was a girl or not. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding this family: Robert S. FITZGEREL was b. 1868 in Kentucky to parents Richard Henry FITZGEREL (b. 1840) and Mary Jane FITZGERALD (1845-1937) or Mary Patricia OWENS (b. 1848) or Mary F. FITZGEREL. He was one of 5 children born to this couple including, Robert S.; Carry S.; Harriet E.; William T.; and Bascom FITZGEREL, all born between 1868 and 1879. Robert married Annie L. Hello, I am interested in finding proof that Timothy FITZGERALD my grt grt grandfather is from Fethard. The name of his father is shown as Redmond on his death certificate in Swansea in 1872. He was born 1784 in Ireland and found in Fethard Tipperary Ireland with daughter Grt Grandmother Mary, b 1836, who married Thomas HOOLEY, b.1836 Ireland in Swansea Glam Wales in 1857. Also shown in the Census of Monsmouthshire with daughter Mary Anne b 1836 and Ellen b.1828 under the name of Felscharold, which an adviser told me was a misspelling of Fitzgerald Is there anyone on the list who can help with this family please?
