You know, I don't recall who it was now, but someone I was exchanging mail with recently was telling me how he was descended from 2 lines of Fishers from the same common ancestor (which was also my ancestor). The family had gotten spread out and had apparently lost track of each other, and then came back together inadvertently in the mid-west. I don't think they ever even realized they were related. :-) Then, to top it off, someone else in his lineage married into another offshoot of the same family, but that couple had remained childless or he'd have had triple-cousins.
