Winnie, This is my solid brick wall. The only hint we have as to JFFishers father is what his son Joe put on the death certificate and this is questionable. Under father Joe put Joseph Franklin Fisher. He did not put a Sr. so he may have misunderstood the question. Another cause for question is that JFFisher always said he was born in Mercer, PA, but his son Joe put Indianna on the death certificate. Always there is confusion in genealogy. Now JFFisher married Elizabeth Gates in 1866. Her brother Peter married a Frances Fisher in 1870. The mother of Elizabeth and Peter was Elizabeth Frank (m. Gates). Elizabeth Frank Gates had a brother, Jacob Frank who married Elizabeth Fisher in 1850. So you see my dilema. Good Luck, and I hope someone can help me connect. Sheryl
