Since the list is talking about Western PA Fishers, I thought I would add mine once again. Our earliest Fisher records go back to Joseph Franklin Fisher who was born @1836-7 in Mercer County, PA. He states on census records that his parents were also born in PA. From family remembrances, his mother was "supposed to have been Irish" and there is supposed to be some Scotts blood in there, too. His father was also Joseph Franklin Fisher, he was a minister, and I assume his birth would be around 1830ish in PA. Any Help would be appreciated. I am looking for a Fisher (not sure of first name - thought to be John) born between 1800-1807 married to Rachel Casteel - died sometime before 1850. They were in and around Fayette County and some in Preston County, WV. He is the proverbial "brick wall" I'm trying to find.
