Not at all Winnie, The entire purpose of any of us subscribing to a list is to make contact with unknown cousins. Although it is usually a good idea to reply to the list because your response may trigger a response from someone else. By replying directly to me no one else can see your response. I have two Catherine's. The first is one of Jacob Fisher's children: Catherine born November 22, 1781 in Pennsylvania(?). She was sister to my direct line Michael and I don't know whether she married. The second is daughter of Michael in my direct line and was probably named for her aunt. She was born September 09, 1820 in York (Toronto), Ontario, Canada. Died November 20, 1902 in Unknown. She probably was never married. My direct line moved from Pennsylvania to York about 1800. Not that they were Tories (they weren't) but they may have favored having a king and in the aftermath of the RW may have been treated unfairly or simply have moved to acquire land. I do not know whether Michael's parents or sibling moved there also. In any case only the first Catherine could have been born in Germany. Although I think all of the children of Jacob and Marie were born in Pennsylvania. That doesn't mean your Catherine couldn't have been sister to Jacob, you didn't give any years in your! info. Please always use dates, even if they are only guesses. Names are frequently duplicated, it is dates which tend to confirm or deny relationships. I do not have any Anna's, Mariah's, or Maria's. The closest I have is a Mary (Abt. 1870-1955) born in Colborne Twp., Huron Co., Ontario. As for how many major Fisher/Fischer lines I am sure there are more than two and likely more than four. I have yet to see any ancestor posted to the list that could be one of my mine. If I have overstepped my bounds by emailing you direct, please forgive me and advise as to such. I have 2 Fishers that I am trying to find info on. One came from Germany to PA and the other was born in Pa. There names and who they were married to is all I know. Would you please send me some info on your Jacob Fisher line? I would like to see if I can connect. It seems that others have more info on Fishers but I have not been able to connect to any. My Catherine Fisher was born in Germany and came over from Germany to Pa with her husband Casper Hoover. Then I have Anna Mariah Fisher who is married to John Custer. John and Anna are my great grandparents. I also have some other Fisher names that not sure are in my line from a cousin's other line and we are tryingn to connect to see if there is any relationship to either of the Fisher women. Thank you in advance and please advise if you feel that I have over-stepped my boun! ds. Winnie
