My Fishers are rumored to come from PA, then Illinois, then to Arkansas. My father in law said they were German. That there was a German pow camp somewhere in Arkansas, one escaped and they came to their farm looking for him because they were German. Another family that they knew well in Arkansas that also came from Illinois and PA were the Immel's. I think the two families may have known one another for some time or maybe been related some how. The Immel line is on line. I know that William H. Fishers was born in Ill I have............... A Samuel Fisher b. Abt 1811, PA m. Ruphan Fisher abt 184 b. abt 1811 KY son William H. Fisher b. 1852 (mother was abt 41) Illinois I have not connected this line to mine as of yet, have no proof.............. and have no other children for this line.
