Hi I was reading your post and just thought I would thrrow my Fisher line at you. My grandfather, Charles C.W. Fisher, was born abt. 1883 in Buffalo, Putnam Co. WVA. I don't know his parents names, but was told his Mother's name may have been Rebecca. At some point in time he must have gone to KY, because that is where he met and married my grandmother, Josephine B. Heinzenburg. Their 1st child, Raymond William, was born somewhere in Ky. Ray was murdered in Iraq in March 1934 by Arab theives. He was there working his way around the world for his Master's thesis. Their 2nd child, Reba, was born in Ohio in 1911. She was my Mom. Charles & Jo were divorced sometime between 1916 and 1918. He later remarried a woman named Belle and moved to Fl where they resided when Ray died. At that time CW was the sanitation commissioner in Hialeah. I can't find a thing on him except what I have told you. I can't seem to find a death certificate either. My Mom spoke to him in 1953 and that is all I can find on him. He is listed in the 1920 and 1930 census indexes. But it seems that the pages he is on at Ancestry.com are down at this time.
