There seem to be many simularities in the names. I do know that slaves used names of their owners as well as their surnames. I am a decendant od James Truman Fisher born in Va around the mid 1800's. He was raised by his owners past the freeing of the slaves until he was old enough to make it on his own. He married Lettie Anne Lewis of Va, If you have any information or can refer me I would appriciate it.
