    3. Sheryl The list of results and family statistics can be found by clicking the highlighted text "Fisher Surname DNA survey" on the DNA page. However, the names of individual Fisher DNA testees and their allele scores shall remain confidential for the time being. Instead each testsee is classified by the British county (using Chapman Codes) where the most ancient documented ancestor of each tested family originated. For those unfamiliar with Chapman County Codes SFK=Suffolk, HRT=Hertfordshire, SRY=Surrey and LAN=Lancashire. Subject to future matches with other testee some of the 19th and even 18th century families will inevitably be reclassified. Three of the testees are US citizens: LAN/02 is 1 step off LAN/01 (who is Australian) and US-01 originally thought to be British but now believed to be of German origin. Possibly the most interesting is SFK/01 who is a member of a very old Fisher family originating in Suffolk (and possibly Norfolk) in the 15th/ 16th centuries that settled in New England in the 17th century and is now widely ramified in the US. Any male Fisher who believes they are descended from this family, but has not proved the documentary link, can now be proved beyond doubt . Equally we are looking for testees still living in Suffolk and the South-east of England who may also prove to be related to this family with a MRCA living between AD1250 to AD1450.
