    3. Deb, I have that he came over before November, 1725. Other notes, I have are: The Early Germans of New Jersey;Their History,Churches & Genealogies indicates Peter Fisher, upon his arrival in this country, settled first in Somerset Co., N.J., where he remained until the year 1730 when he purchased a farm about a half mile west of what is now Rocktown, in Hunterdon County, which farm is still owned by one of his descendents. The Early Germans of New Jersey;Their History,Churches & Genealogies indicates The deed for the premises mentioned bears date March 30th, 1730 and by it, Thomas------of Amwell, etc., yeoman on the one part, in concideration of 132 pounds of lawful silver money of the King's Dominions in America, etc., 200 acres of land besides the usual allowance for highways. Caleb Farley Fisher spent the whole of his long life on the farm at Rocktown, Hunterdon county, which his great grandfather, Peter Fisher (who emigrated from Germany), purchased of Thomas Eman, in 1729, paying 54 pounds for the tract of 200 acres. This was a part of the large tract purchased by John Reading and others, of the Indians, for 700 pounds in 1703. 78 (FromPioneers of Old Hopewell). I have had problems with my printer. I will be sending out the information that I had promised when it is fixed. By the way the old Fisher homestead still stands. I visited the house when I was in Hunterdon County for the holidays.
