Hey Lesley, I'm an Armstrong...via my Taylor lines. Part of my Taylors went south into Va and then across into Ky and Tenn...and part came west into Ohio and Indiana...do you see any Taylors with your Armstrongs? Or Brewster? Suze-- As of yet, I haven't found any Armstrongs with my Taylors, but I haven't dug that deep on the Taylor's yet. I got on a roll with the Fisher's so I just kept going until I hit "dead end Daniel". Brewster has not come up at all. There are some Armstrongs in Franklin County IL where my Fishers ended up but I haven't made their connection yet. My Fishers were in Gibson/Posey County Indiana. Julia Armstrong Fisher remarried Benajah Gragg in 1813 in Gibson County and then disappears. Her siblings were Miles, Sarah, Elsberry, Nancy, John H., and Kirby Reuben -- do any of these folks sound familiar? Daniel and Julia's sons were Daniel B., Jackson John, Thomas W., and Jordan A. Fisher. Jordan was born in 1808 and according to the 1880 census, he was born in KY. I can't find any of his other brothers (and I don't know of any daughters) on the 1880 census so I am at brick wall central at the moment.
