I am also from a Michigan Fisher family in the UP of Michigan My family orginated from England about 1810-1811 and came to NY and then to Alliston Ont. Canada. There were Fisher's from that family that moved to Windor and then to the Detroit area, however I still am trying to piece that information to gether. I am not sure if their would be any connection but one never knows. My great grandfather was born in England indicating that his father had returned to England and married. I am not sure if the orginal John Fisher had any family that came to the US later. I have not found that information at this time. The orginal John Fisher of my family came over to the US 1810-1811 to NY and settled there for a time, and then moved to Ont. Canada. They lived in Gratiot County Michigan. They had the following children, Emma, Edmund, Albert, Eliza, Florence, Alice, Edwin, Charles, Cora, Phillip, Calvin, Vincent and Marion. Calvin is the son of Abijah and Vianna Fisher. He was born in 1822. Mary is the daughter of Smith and Eliza Crossman Rhodes. I am looking for info on the ancestors. The Rhodes family came from NY to Calhoun County, MI. The Fishers from NY to Gratiot County, MI.
