Marguerite L. Bass 1908-2007 Margaret. Bass 1908-2007 Margaret L. Bass, 99, Chanute, died Tuesday, September 4, 2007, at the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute. She was born Aug. 1, 1908, in Olivet to William and Mary L. Crawley Fisher. She married Jesse Leo Bass on April 12, 1934, in Ottawa. He preceded her in death in 1974. She was a homemaker. Survivors include two sons, Haroldo Bass, Gas City, and Wayne Gomez Bass, Emporia; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a stillborn child; three sisters; and two brothers. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Church of God in Chanute. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends before the funeral at the church. Contributions may be made to the family. 09/05/2007; 10:39:01 AM
