However, since both came to Dakota County in the mid 1800's from Germany, that's very interesting, since that's where our Schillings were located, and almost too coincidental to dismiss. There is a Johann Nikolaus SCHILLING born in 1634/35 in Undenheim, so the name Nicholas, as well as Fisher does appear in our line. And it very well could also be English. As of now, I'm not sure what the connection might be or if there is any. Another curious thing, I know that there was a Caspar SCHILLING buried in Undenheim at the cemeteries we visited.
