    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: pjspoo Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.fisher/3944.3/mb.ashx Message Board Post: My great grandfather Gilbert Milton Fisher was born in Webster City, Hamilton Co., IA March 6, 1880 to George and Mary Fisher. I believe a document from familysearch.org stated Tunnel Mill and at the time I wasn't sure what of the meaning, but came to find out it it was a town that know longer exists. Gilbert's siblings included a William Fisher. I do not know much about this sibling other than I think he was born in Marshall Co., IA. A few other siblings are: Fred Pearl Fisher 1876-1953 is buried in Sherbun, MN; Winfield Jackson Fisher 1868/ 1869-1951 married Addie Cornelia Lane McKinney, moved around quite bit, held a number of different jobs, eventually died from a heart attack and is buried at Eastside Cemetery in Estherville. George Fisher born 1872; Roxie Carol Fisher born 1878 and married a man by the last name of bond and at Gilbert's death was living in Drumwright, OK, Mary Elizabeth born 1884; and Mame who married a man by the last name of Young and at Gilbert's death in 1949 was living in Drumwright, OK. It appears all family members lived in/ around Hamilton Co., IA growing up. Gilbert married Emma Arp in Spirit Lake, Dickinson Co., IA in 1902. Gilbert and Emma then lived in Wilton Junction until about 1922 as Gilbert worked for the railroad and then they moved to Estherville. Gilbert's death obit only mentions 3 living brothers: Fred and Jack (Winfield) who live in Estherville and Charles in Webster City and then 2 sisters Mame and Roxie in Oklahoma. I'm wondering if we're talking about the same William Fisher? Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
