They came from Bavaria and moved to Wellsville, Allegany Co. NY, probably in the 1850's. He was a "provisioner" for the Erie Railroad. Their daughter, Magdalena married my great-grandfather, Christian Frey in Wellsville circa 1860. Except for a daughter Mary, the Fishers seem to have moved from Wellsville. Mary Fisher was a spinster and left her estate to several of the Frey "children". She is buried next to the Freys in the Catholic Cemetery there.
