This is my brick wall and I have searched so long. I even paid for a male cousin to have DNA tested and we had NO MATCHES. The Samuel Fisher you mentioned might be a possibility-the date is right and the name used for George W.'s son. Does your book list the names of Samuel's children? I found an old book from Shelbyville, Illinois where my Rev. G.W. Fisher lived that described him as having "dark heavy brows and a stentorian voice teaching law and theology." I paraphrased that-I don't have my papers in front of me. So that tells me he was an educated man. He also played the violin as did his son Samuel. Thank you for any help you can give.
