    2. My husband has been DNA tested for the first two levels. So far we have one perfect match, but have been unable to connect the two lines, other than the fact that both families were in Mississippi in the early 1800s. Just now I cannot put my hands on the results to give you further information, but as soon as I do, I will get back in touch with you. John Fisher, the man who runs the Fisher DNA program, says that our two lines are different from all the rest. If you can pull up the Fisher DNA project, you can see the two matching lines. I am very curious about the George W. Fisher in Mississippi who was a Hungarian immigrant. Our family crosses him again in Van Zandt Co., TX. The CD was mailed out on Saturday. I'm trying to track down a George Fisher who served with the US Military in WWII. He was, according to family lore, killed early in the Invasion of Normandy. This would put his death in June of 1944. He was survived by his wife, one Ernestine Brown (first name uncertain), and they had no children together. That's the part that makes him hard to track. My family lore is that this George Fisher and my great-grandmother conceived a child out of wedlock. He never married her, instead marrying Ernestine Brown, but died in war before fathering any children with her. As such, I have an alleged biological ancestor about whom there is no marriage record to my great-grandmother, and about whom there is no birth record regarding my grandmother. Because he fathered no children with his wife, it is unlikely that any others on this board are researching him directly, but I'm hoping that he may show up as a sibling of someone in one of your trees. If anyone has any information on a George Fisher from Marcus Hook, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, I'd be very interested to see it. It is not outside the realm of possibility that this Ernestine Brown remarried and had a family, so it's possible there are people researching her as well. 3. Thanks, Sue. I am glad you have a match on the Fisher DNA project! Very interesting that both were in Mississippi in the same time frame. My Fisher line has no matches and we are J1 haplogroup. It is a very unusual one I am told, so hopefully we will have a match someday. I will be looking for the CD. Thank you again.
