The nature of the illness was heart disease. Mrs. Horn had been about the house all day, working in the garden during the evening. After supper she helped her daughter with strawberries until about ten o'clock. It was about this time that she felt the attack coming, although she regarded the feeling as being one of fatigue instead of illness. The serious attack followed before anybody knew she was ill and relatives were powerless to do anything except call the physician. Mrs. Horn was born in Polk Township November 13 1849, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Fisher. She married Mr. Horn Easter Sunday 1864. Eighteen years they spent in Andrews, Arkansas, and Union Township and the last twenty five in Huntington. A number of years their home was on Market Street, Mr. Horn having worked in the Erie car department. The home has been on the Etna road several years. She leaves the husband, two daughters, a son, two brothers, three sisters and three grandchildren. The children are Engineer John Horn of this city, Mrs. William Dumbauld of Union Township, and Mrs. Carl Miller of this city. Brothers and sisters are Samuel Fisher of Arkansas, Mrs. Rebecca Skinner of Blackford County, Mrs. Martha Haley of Illinois, and Mrs. Cynthia Lewis of this city.
