Came to Huntington County, with her parents when ten years of age, and lived in Wayne Township, this county, a period of eleven years. She was united in marriage to John D. Fisher, December 28, 1884. To this union were born three children. One son, who died in infancy, and two daughters, namely Charlotta, who departed this life January 12, 1877, and Harriet E., who survives her mother. The husband and father departed this life December 25, 1890. Sister Fisher united with the Christian (Newlight) Church when eighteen years of age, but was not converted until some days after, and when all alone in her father's woods she realized the converting power of God, which power seemed o lead her for at least one-half mile, when everything around was invisible to her sight. She ever after led a kind, quiet and unassuming life, which made for her many friends. For about two years previous to her death, at times her suffering was great, and just before her last and final suffering she remarked to her granddaughter that she was ready and hoped that the next attack which caused her such intense suffering might be her last. On the morning of August 3rd, at 1:30 a.m., she quietly passed away, being aged seventy-two years, seven months and ten days. Funeral services were held at Monument City, Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, and were attended by a host of relatives and friends. Rev. Cain of Andrews officiated.
