    3. There were two lines of Fishers in Cabarrus Co. at that time. One line descends from Solomon Fisher, which I have little information on, and another line descends from Ludwig Fischer (became Lewis Fisher once in the states). These lines are completely unrelated. I do not show a "Lynn" in my Fishers (the Lewis line), but from knowing the area, I am sure you descend one of these two lines. See www.susanfisher.net/Genealogy This page has the Ludwig Fischer/Lewis Fisher line and also makes mention of Solomon Fisher (at some point, Solomon's daughter Anne Fisher married a descendent of Lewis, Daniel Fisher). Perhaps these names will provide a starting point of where to go. There is extensive information online done by other of Lewis's descendants. I only track the direct family line in most cases. If you do discover you are related to Lewis, let me know, as i have four more generations information that hasn't made it on my webpage yet. I located a ninth cousin still living in the village Lewis came from in Germany! Cheers, Susan Jan Robison wrote: > Hi, everyone, > > I'm new to the list, but not new to research. 3. Susan - How did you locate your Fishers in Germany. It doesn't look like my line is related to yours, but it also originated in Germany with the first immigrant to what was then the British Colonies in America being a George Fisher b. abt 1731, d. 1797 in Maryland. This line came from Deinsdorf, Bayern. I'd love to locate relatives there, but haven't a clue how to go about it.
