FROM YOUR LIST CUSTODIAN: Two separate items here. 1. You are replying ON THE LIST to a message that was "gatewayed" to the List (as a courtesy) from the Message Boards. In order to reply to a "gatewayed message," you need to click on the URL provided with the Message, and reply on the Message Board (a web page). 2. All Mailing List transactions are conducted in "plain text" only, with NO attachments. That is part of RootsWeb's filter system of deterrents to virus infestations, as well as to spam. The solution in cases such as the one you envision is to post the photos at some friendly web site and then provide the URL to that page on this List, or on the Message Board.
