James served in the Revolutionary War (in spite of being a Quaker!). They moved to Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee before arriving in Highland Co., Ohio in 1804. Their children were Hannah, Alice, Cephas, Thomas, James, John, Hiram, Jane, and Elizabeth, although I don't think the two older daughters moved to Ohio with them. Cephas and his wife did. Their children were Thomas, James, Cephas, John, Samuel, Rebecca, Rachel, and Hannah. Samuel's son Ira was born in Indiana, and I am trying to find the trail from Ohio to Indiana. Hope this helps.
